Welcome! I'm Terri Altschul!

Creating a safe sacred space for you to explore and
connect with your most creative self.

I'm Here to Be Your Guide!

I can create a safe container within which you can explore the unknown parts of yourself.  I can hold space while you laugh, experiment, cry, and feel any emotion you need.

I work with people who want to live more fulfilled and meaningful lives that align with their core essence.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology with an additional 30 credits in human psychology. I am also a credentialed coach through the International Coach Federation, with more than 3,500 coaching hours and training in three schools of coaching.

My personal experience in visual journaling has been the most influential factor in shaping and informing my work with my clients.

Over the years, I realized that the path to growth was much more than simply adding skills and experiences to my resume.  I became aware that I was cycling through old patterns and curious about their roots.  At about the same time, I discovered Visual Journaling.

As a lifelong journaler, I resonated deeply with the idea of adding imagery and intuitive guidance to my journal and was excited to experiment with this process.  What came next was life-changing.

Through this first journal, I began playing with art materials and writing prompts to explore my relationship with my mom and ancestral patterns and beliefs that seemed to have been passed down through the generations.

I worked intuitively, allowing my inner vision to guide me from one step to the next. In this creative expression, I experienced inner “AHA” moments as I reconnected with parts of myself I had long forgotten and began to understand the inner tensions I carried.

As a coach, I intend to support you in gently facing and moving through your life experiences so that you may have deeper meaning and understanding of your life’s journey.

My Approach

With deep reverence for each individual’s unique journey, I guide clients to discover authentic alignment between their inner and outer worlds. True transformation extends beyond intellectual understanding—it requires gently exploring the depths of our unconscious, where inherited beliefs, hidden aspects of ourselves, and untapped creative potential reside.

Through the powerful combination of visual journaling and depth coaching, I create a safe space for organic self-discovery. This process allows buried insights, suppressed emotions, and forgotten dreams to naturally surface at their own pace. As these elements emerge, they bring valuable wisdom that can be thoughtfully integrated into daily life and decision-making.

Many clients discover parts of themselves that were silenced by shame or dismissed as childish, only to find these aspects hold surprising gifts and strengths. Others uncover limiting beliefs inherited from family or society that no longer serve their authentic path.

My approach honors the profound intelligence of the unconscious mind while providing practical tools for incorporating these insights into tangible life changes. I stand as a compassionate witness and guide as clients reconnect with their inner wisdom and bring their full selves into the world.

My approach draws upon a rich tapestry of both personal experience and established therapeutic traditions. Having navigated my own journey of inner exploration and transformation, I understand firsthand the profound impact of connecting with one’s deeper wisdom. This lived experience infuses her work with authenticity and compassionate understanding.

My methodology synthesizes multiple disciplines that honor the complexity of human consciousness. Drawing from Carl Jung’s work with archetypes and the collective unconscious, she helps clients explore their shadow aspects and unlock their fullest potential. This is enriched by Integrative theory’s comprehensive framework for understanding human development and Gestalt psychology’s emphasis on present-moment awareness.

The foundation of mindfulness practice and body-centered wisdom from Svaroopa Yoga brings essential somatic awareness to the work. My visual journaling practice integrates the structured depth work of Ira Progoff’s Intensive Journal method with Lucia Capacchione’s creative approaches to inner dialogue. Additionally, I employ the Tarot and various oracle card decks as a therapeutic tools, using their rich archetypal imagery to illuminate patterns and possibilities in clients’ lives.

This integrative approach allows clients to access their inner wisdom through multiple pathways – verbal, visual, somatic, and symbolic – creating a holistic container for profound personal transformation.

Visual Journaling has taught me how to mine my life's most profound lessons and see more deeply into myself.  I have experienced new self-awareness, healing, and inspiration by integrating the coaching process with art materials.  This process is wholing and integrates our inner and outer worlds.
I'm excited to share this journey with you!

My commitment is to bring you the best of what I’m living and learning while keeping it real and honest as I go. So please don’t expect perfection (I’m always learning). I have days of self-doubt and fear, too. But do expect thought-provoking ideas, a lifetime of wisdom, the ability to turn lemons into lemonade (some of the most interesting spreads result from mistakes), and an unwavering devotion to help you live your most expansive, expressive, and creative life.
